  1. So have I got this right? Cement is put down the hole on the horizontal drilling to seal around the pipe and then during fracking, holes are put back in this pipe and cement casing. I don't quite understand this. To say that measures are taken to keep the drilling fluids contained after you have blown holes through the pipe and into the shale to release the gas seems impossible. What am I missing here?
