In her blog on June 7th, Amy Mall, NRDC Senior Policy Analyst reports:
According to recent reports, an underground source of drinking water in the town of DISH, Texas, was contaminated after hydraulic fracturing of nearby natural gas wells last year. The Smiths installed a water filtration system, but over a year later, it was useless and clogged.

  1. any hydraulic fracturing should be given attention in a long time period. Filtration is not enough to cover up for the sanitation of the water. Moreover, wastewater treatment systems should be prioritized by all means. Time would come, Texas will run out of fresh water if this will still occur in the next few years.
